My role covers all aspects of the digital output of The Yorkshire Post. I joined the YP in October 2019 and have overseen an exciting period in the history of the newspaper as we look to improve our digital offering.
It's been an eventful and exciting time for me at for The Yorkshire Post so far, including helping launch a complete redesign of our website and a number of new ways to keep our readers up to date, including newsletters and push notifications. I still love the buzz you get when a big news story breaks, and it's an honour to do it for a grand institution such as The Yorkshire Post.
My journalism career started at the Shropshire Star before moving onto my hometown newspaper the Express & Star in Wolverhampton. After that, I moved to the Nottingham Post where I worked for five years in a variety of roles, eventually leaving after spending two years as a deputy digital news editor.
Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, reading and watching sport and films. I also love a challenge - in 2022 I ran the London Marathon and in 2023 I completed the Three Peaks Challenge in 28 hours. I have run a number of half marathons and 10ks, with some other challenges in the pipeline, including The Yorkshire Three Peaks is also on my list.
