Glitter Ball raises over £280,000 for Martin House Children's Hospice
A spectacular fundraising evening at Rudding Park in Harrogate has raised a record-breaking £280,000 for Martin House Children's Hospice.

The charity has announced that this year's Glitter Ball has become its most successful ever, with more than £280,000 raised to support children and young people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across Yorkshire.
Organisers thanked everyone who played a part in making the event such a success, from guests and sponsors to volunteers, suppliers and entertainers.
The evening featured television presenter Christine Talbot and Duncan Wood as hosts, with former England manager Gareth Southgate attending as a special guest.
Yorkshire Auctioneer star Angus Ashworth helped drive the fundraising efforts by leading the evening's charity auction.
One of the most poignant moments of the evening came when families supported by Martin House Children’s Hospice shared their personal experiences, reminding guests of the vital work carried out by the hospice and the difference donations make to children, young people and their loved ones.
A spokesperson for Martin House Children’s Hospice said: "We're blown away by the incredible generosity of everyone who made the night so special.
“Every single contribution helped us reach this incredible milestone."
The charity also paid tribute to the businesses whose support helped make the event possible.
Haribo UK & Ireland was the headline sponsor, continuing its long-standing partnership with the hospice, while KPP Architects sponsored the drinks reception.
Additional support came from event sponsors Cloud Nine, Nicolla Florist, Tick Tock Nursery, Nuvem Solutions and Berry's Jewellers, alongside Rudding Park and a host of suppliers who helped bring the Glitter Ball to life.
The charity extended its thanks to everyone who attended the Glitter Ball, donated prizes, bid in the online auction or made financial contributions.
The money raised will help Martin House continue providing specialist care and support for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions, as well as offering practical and emotional support to their families.
The spokesperson added: "To everyone who played a part, you've helped make a lasting difference, and for that, we can't thank you enough."
