Harrogate's business community praised for its 'incredible generosity and community spirit'
"It's inspiring to see how the Big Harrogate Sleepout continues to grown and to see such a great turnout”
Two much-loved Harrogate charities will share in more than £15,000 thanks to the third annual Big Harrogate Sleepout.

Hosted once again at Harrogate Rugby Club, the event brought together more than 70 people from local businesses and the wider community, who spent a night under the stars to raise vital funds and awareness for Harrogate Homeless Project and Saint Michael's Hospice.
Originally launched by Harrogate Spring Water in 2014, the Big Harrogate Sleepout was created to bring the local business community together in support of important local causes.
Since its inception, the event has grown significantly and continues to attract support from organisations across the region.
This year's participants represented a wide range of sectors, including finance, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing and construction & property.
Businesses taking part included Titan Wealth Management, Skipton Building Society, The West Park Hotel, Cedar Court Hotel, Rudy's Pizza, Swinton Estate, The Spa Surgey, MJ Ryder, National Grid, Willmott Dixon and Harrogate Spring Water.
Richard Cooper, Chief Executive of Harrogate Homeless Project, said: "It's inspiring to see how the Big Harrogate Sleepout continues to grow and we’re delighted with such a great turnout this year.
“The event really demonstrates the incredible generosity and community spirit that exists across Harrogate's business community.”
Funds raised from the event will be shared equally between the two charities, supporting Harrogate Homeless Project's work with people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity, while helping Saint Michael's Hospice continue to provide specialist care and support for people living with terminal illness, as well as their families and loved ones.
Linsey Trower, Head of Marketing at Saint Michael's Hospice, said: "The atmosphere throughout the evening was fantastic and we're incredibly thankful to Harrogate Rugby Club for hosting us and everyone who gave their time, energy and support.
“Events like this show what can be achieved when local businesses and residents come together to support local charities."
