Even stormy gales can't stop Love to Be...Festival in Harrogate as it overcomes 'huge challenges' to be a huge hit

The founder of the legendary Love to Be... Festival has revealed the date for next year's event in Harrogate after it overcame strong gales to be a major success on the Stray at the weekend.

Marc Dennis, director and owner of the internationally famous house music brand, said there has been challenges but thousands of fans still flocked to enjoy superstar DJs on Saturday.

“Love to Be... Festival 2026 was everything we hoped for and more,” he said.

"After some huge challenges 24-hours before the event with winds taking down a large part of infrastructure and the main stage tent, the team pretty much rebuilt the site overnight to deliver a superb day.

"It was an incredible celebration of house music, community and togetherness.

"Seeing generations of fans dancing side-by-side made all the hard work worthwhile."

Love to be...Festival Harrogate was first held in 2024, when it was headlined by Roger Sanchez, and organisers have been delighted by the town’s support for the event.

"The artists, crew and audience created something genuinely special," said Marc Dennis.

"We are proud of how the festival continues to grow while staying true to its roots. Thank you to everyone who made it happen.”

Last Saturday’s event saw up to 6,000 revellers enjoy the likes of Claptone, Mouse-T, Todd Terry, Gok Wan, K‑Klass and Grant Nelson on three separate stages.

The date of next year’s Love to be... Festival on the Stray has been confirmed as Saturday, September 4.
