The well-known British retailer first opened its doors in Harrogate in April 2025 when it became its sixth store in Yorkshire.

Located on James Street, Beaverbrooks, Harrogate will continue the brand’s 107-year, longstanding tradition of giving colleagues an extra day off to spend time with loved ones, as a thank you for their dedication and hard work throughout the year.

In addition, the retailer will continue its tradition of gifting colleagues an extra week’s salary in December to show its appreciation.

Natalie James, Regional Head of Retail at Beaverbrooks Harrogate, said: “Here in Harrogate, the festive season is always a really special time for us.

“But it’s also one of the busiest periods of the year, alongside launching our new lab grown diamond collection and a handful of new fashion jewellery and watch brands stocked by Beaverbrooks.

“Our team works incredibly hard in the run-up to Christmas to help customers find those perfect gifts.

“The extra day gives everyone the chance to relax, recharge and enjoy some quality time with family and friends.

“Family values are at the heart of Beaverbrooks, and it's fantastic to see that reflected in initiatives like this.

“Our colleagues really value the company’s people-first approach and we’re proud to be part of a business that recognises and rewards its teams.”
