Tadcaster Albion's wait for home win goes on after late 'switch-off' moment against Frickley Athletic
Tadcaster Albion conceded a last-gasp equaliser against Frickley Athletic as they once again failed to win at Ings Lane.
The Brewers looked to be on course for a well-deserved three points thanks to Harry Croft’s 29th-minute strike, but were pegged back by Sam Cable in stoppage time, leaving them without a victory in four home league and cup outings this term.

"We are disappointed with a draw,” manager Ryan Qualter said following Saturday’s NCEL Premier Division clash.
"I am gutted for the boys, to be honest. Nobody means to give a last-minute equaliser away. We have switched off. It’s unfortunate, and just seems to be our achilles heel at the moment.
“I thought that we managed the game quite well, and I don’t always say that about us. Sometimes I think we make it like a basketball game.
"I don’t think we created a great deal ourselves, and I’m a bit disappointed in that aspect. We looked a little bit rusty around the 18-yard box and in the final third, but these are things for us to work on.
"We haven’t lost the game, and it probably shows how far we have come as a football club that we are disappointed with draws. We just can’t seem to get that illusive win at home at the moment.”
Seven days earlier, Tadcaster’s defence had been breached in the closing stages as Glossop North End fought back to draw 1-1 in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup.
But, Albion did manage to get the job done at the second attempt, triumphing 2-0 away from home in the replay.
Following a goalless opening period, Spencer Harris broke the deadlock when he converted from the penalty spot on 54 minutes.
Oliver Green then sealed the Brewers’ place in the next round five minutes from time.
Their reward for that win is a home showdown with Stalybridge Celtic in the preliminary round this Saturday (3pm).
