A Yorkshire Terrier had to be rescued by firefighters today after she got stuck in a set of gate railings.

North Yorkshire Fire Service said crews from Tadcaster were dispatched to Station Road in the market town at around 11.15am.

They found 10-year-old terrier Ruby was wedged halfway through railings at the address.
