Major musical coup for Harrogate's Den bar as live date with MTV hard rockers is announced

It’s a long way from from the gritty streets of New York to Harrogate but a legendary hard rock band will be doing just that next month.

In what is a major musical coup for the town, The Den will host American rock veterans Spread Eagle next month who will bring with them 36 years of rock history.

After signing to MCA/Universal Records in 1990, the powerful but melodic four-piece made it big when their track Switchblade Serenade became a MTV favourite.

Known for their raw brand of “streetmetal”, the band went on to release Open to the Public and Subway to the Stars, and are now back with their fourth full-length album, The Brutal Divine.

This October, that tour will come to Harrogate, giving Yorkshire rock fans the opportunity to see a band with more than three decades of history up close in the intimate surroundings of the Den, which is on Cambridge Road.

For their Harrogate date on Saturday, October 3, Ray West (vocals), Jommy Puledda (guitar), Rob De Luca (bass), and Rik De Luca (drums) will be supported by female-fronted, glam-influenced, hard rock band Star Circus from London.

Rock music fans can expect a night to remember and a powerful collection of songs from Spread Eagle that balance grit and melody, aggression and soul.

Spread Eagle’s tour includes the USA, Germany, Poland, Sweden and Finland.

Doors will open at 7pm and the venue will be open until 1am.

Advance booking is advised.
