The location at at 7 Station Bridge in Harrogate has been lifeless since January this year when Dinos, an independent Mediterranean restaurant, closed its doors, the latest in a series of establishments at that address to do so.

The signs suggested a refurbishment was in the works but nothing appeared to be happening until the Dinos livery and signs came down and the windows were whitewashed.

But new signs have now appeared at 7 Station Bridge with the promise of the opening of a new restaurant.

Sila Thai is, as the name suggests, a Thai restaurant, bar, and pub.

Combining a traditional pub and bar atmosphere with authentic Thai cuisine, its arrival will bring a new entry to the growing battle to be the best Thai in Harrogate.

Others already engaged in that competition include Sukhothai Harrogate at 17–19 Cheltenham Parade, Giggling Squid at 1-2 John Street and Phranakhon Thai Tapas at 3 Cheltenham Crescent.
