New Wickes store opens in Harrogate with special launch discounts for shoppers
"We're delighted to open our new store in Harrogate, bringing trusted home improvement products and expert advice to the local community”
A new Wickes store has officially opened in Harrogate, creating 21 jobs and offering local homeowners and tradespeople a new destination for home improvement projects.

The store, located on Ripon Road, officially opened its doors today (October 21), with Harrogate councillor Viv Poskitt performing the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Nineteen of the store's 21 employees have been recruited locally, providing a boost to employment in the area.
The branch spans more than 10,800 square feet of ground floor retail space and includes a 3,200 square foot mezzanine level featuring a dedicated kitchen and bathroom showroom.
Customers can browse a wide range of home improvement products while also accessing free kitchen and bathroom design consultations, installation services, Click & Collect and rapid local delivery.
The new store has also been designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating 100 rooftop solar panels capable of generating almost 42,000kWh of renewable electricity each year.
Trade customers will have access to building essentials including timber, cement and power tools from brands such as Bosch, Blue Circle and Knauf, while members of Wickes' TradePro scheme can receive discounts and rewards.
Kate Thompson, Head of Property at Wickes, said: "We're delighted to open our new store in Harrogate, bringing trusted home improvement products and expert advice to the local community.
"Our new small format store has been designed to make the most of the space, with a dedicated Kitchen and Bathroom showroom to help customers find inspiration and plan their projects with confidence.
"We're also pleased to welcome 21 colleagues to the team and look forward to supporting local homeowners and trade professionals with their home improvement projects."
Alongside the store opening, Wickes has launched its Community Programme in Harrogate, which supports local charities and community organisations through donations of tools and building materials.
Its first local partnership is with Mind Harrogate, which will receive supplies to create a partitioned corridor at its premises.
The improvement will allow visitors to access toilet facilities without interrupting counselling sessions, helping to protect client confidentiality and enabling the charity to provide more one-to-one mental health support.
To mark the opening, customers will be able to enjoy 15 per cent off purchases in store from Friday, October 30 until Sunday, November 1.
A special decorating event in partnership with Dulux will also take place on Saturday, October 31, with visitors invited to meet the famous Dulux dog, take photographs with the mascot and enter a competition to win Dulux merchandise.
