Harrogate clinic to aid understanding of ADHD and autism

Leading neurodiversity wellbeing clinic So Nutrition is coming to Harrogate with its new workshop to help people better understand how ADHD and autism impact eating behaviours.

Promising a judgement-free space where people can ‘ditch the guilt’, So Nutrition is offering holistic support for people navigating neurodivergence in everyday life.

That includes adults making sense of a recent ADHD diagnosis to parents finding mealtimes with a neurodivergent child a daily struggle.

The community aims to make people feel welcomed and understood, and to give them practical tools they can use straight away.

So Nutrition's Natasha Rosenberg is based in Yorkshire and explains: "As an ADHD and autism specialist, I’ve worked with many people across Harrogate, Leeds and the surrounding areas, and the same questions and concerns come up again and again.

"This workshop offers a safe space to share those experiences and pick up practical strategies for everyday life.”

The workshop will be supporting North Yorkshire charity, Autism Angels. Founded by Sarah Kekoa, Autism Angels helps autistic and neurodiverse children and their families through therapy and learning activities built around the outdoors and working with animals.

Mindfulness and meditation are also on the menu, led by local expert Christine Bell of Harrogate Mindfulness, who said: "Taking time to quiet a busy mind and check in with our own feelings is essential and can help with overthinking and overwhelm.

“In this workshop, we'll share some practical exercises that can help bring calm and balance into daily life."

The workshop takes place on Wednesday 18 November from 9am-12.30pm at The Barrows, Harrogate.

Guests will receive goody bags that include Sarah Osborne’s 100 ADHD-friendly Recipes and a host of wellbeing treats, plus a £50 voucher for any of So Nutrition’s testing kits, which look at things like gut health, food sensitivity and DNA.

Tickets cost £30 and are available at So Nutrition.
