Antiques and vintage fairs dates for Harrogate

Organisers Continuity Fairs already run successful antiques fairs in Epsom, Devon and Wales and have chosen the Harrogate-based centre to host three of its events this year on March 17, 18, 23, June 24, and October 6 and 7.

From jewellery to furniture, porcelain to china, clocks to collectables, the fair promises a range of antiques to suit every budget.

Oak furniture will also feature heavily as this is always hugely popular with Harrogate and Yorkshire buyers.

Nick Bayliss of Continuity Fairs said: “The YEC is the perfect fit for us with its location and high standard of venue to host the size and scale of event we are working to deliver.

“There will be premium antiques on sale in Hall 1, with Hall 2 hosting a table top section offering rare finds and exciting treasures.

“We will have the Swiss Post Bike which dates back to 1943 and would bring post to the front line. It has still got all the original leather bags on it - including a place for a pistol to go behind the seat.

“Eugene the 1920s butler figure is with Bates Antiques of Oxford and is always a talking point for them when they’re at shows. There will also be plenty of country furniture as this is particularly popular in Harrogate and Yorkshire – you won’t be disappointed.”

This will be the first time exhibiting in Yorkshire for Bates Antiques of Oxford which is a country furniture dealer selling oak, walnut, elm, chestnut for budgets of £500 up to £3,000.

Heather Parry, Managing Director of YEC Ltd, said: “We are delighted to welcome Continuity Fairs here at the Yorkshire Event Centre for the first time ever. This is a well-established organiser coming to the area for the first time, bringing fresh ideas and new companies to the YEC and we look forward to hosting them this year.”

The Yorkshire Event Centre is based on the Great Yorkshire Showground. The showground has 250 acres of outdoor space, with stunning views across the iconic Crimple Valley and ample free parking.

The newly refurbished YEC opened in June 2016, with a brand new Hall 1 which is completely pillar free, which allows for maximum flexibility.
