Knaresborough groups to host Autumn dementia event

Knaresborough-based Thistle Hill Care Centre is hosting a community dementia awareness event next month.

In partnership with Dementia Forward, Radfield Home Care and Red Kite Nursery, the Autumn Together event, on Tuesday October 6 from 10.30am-noon, aims to bring generations together to help provide information and autumn themed activities.

Pratheesh Thankachan, General Manager at The Thistle Hill Care Centre, Chadwick Park, said: “At Thistle Hill, we are passionate about supporting not only those living with dementia but also their families, friends and carers.

"Events like Autumn Together help bring the community together, reduce stigma and raise awareness of the support that is available locally.

"We are delighted to be working with Dementia Forward, Radfield Home Care and Red Kite Nursery and look forward to welcoming everyone for what promises to be a fantastic morning.”
