Bailey Hobson handed new long-term contract by Harrogate Town less than six months after joining the club
Talismanic midfielder puts pen to paper on deal that runs until 2029
Bailey Hobson has signed a new long-term contract with Harrogate Town, less than six months after joining the club.

The 24-year-old midfielder has quickly developed into a key member of Simon Weaver’s squad following his arrival as a free agent this summer.
The scorer of five goals in his first 16 appearances for the club, Hobson has worn the captain’s armband on a number of occasions, with his fine form seeing him nominated for September’s National League Player of the Month award.
And although he was recently ruled out for three months after breaking a bone in his foot, Town have moved to tie the ex-Chesterfield man down until the end of the 2028/29 season.
“We’ve been really impressed with Bailey’s contribution to everything on and off the pitch from day one,” Harrogate boss Simon Weaver said.
“His running power and desire to set new fitness standards for the club was a remarkable start to pre-season and he’s already stamped his authority and personality on the club.
“He’s a relentless footballer that has made the team so much stronger and brings a big smile to the training ground every day with his positive approach.
“We’ve always tried to have a core in the team that personifies what the club is about, we need good people to drive that culture on and off the pitch and Bailey certainly does that.”
