The Foodbank serves Wetherby, Tadcaster and surrounding villages and was set up in 2014, linked to the Trussell Trust, to help the needy.

Since then it has expanded and opened a warehouse at Thorp Arch Trading Estate to meet demand.

People who need help from the foodbank will be referred from other services by means of a voucher.

Wetherby and District Foodbank aims to provide three days worth of nutritionally balanced food for an individual or family who fall on hard times and need food.
