Met Office issues further weather warnings as Harrogate faces snow and ice

The Met Office has issued more weather warnings for the Harrogate district today as heavy snow has hit the area.

A yellow warning for snow and rain is in place until 3pm today, and then a yellow warning for ice has been put in place from 8pm tonight until 10am tomorrow.

The Met Office says: "Further wintry showers across the north of the UK, with icy patches leading to possible hazardous travel."
