Graham Kidd said his aim on his 1,062 kilometre journey round locations in Britain with the same name as the street in Harrogate was to raise funds for life-saving medical aid for people around the world.

But, in achieving this rather unusual world first over the course of a fortnight on a single speed push bike he says he learned a lot about life and himself.

"The trip has given me more meaning, fulfilment and knowledge than a lifetime of therapy ever could," said Mr Kidd, who has been a self-employed rider for the likes of Deliveroo for nearly ten years.

"My original objective was to rock down to every Electric Avenue in Britain.

"But but that was eclipsed by the fundraiser which exceeded my expectations and changed my perspective on humanity."

Mr Kidd's adventures made have been inspired locally - Electric Avenue is located off Skipton Road in Harrogate - but the results will be felt globally.

So far, Graham's epic cycle ride has raised more than a £1,000 for Médecins Sans Frontière/Doctors Without Borders (MSF), the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organisation.

As an experienced cycle courier, Graham used online food order platforms like Uber Eats to earn extra cash along the way on his epic charity challenge, donating the spare funds to his charity mission.

"In the last 13 days I’ve seen the good, the bad, the ugly and the beauty of this country and the people in it,” said Graham.

"But, with the help of friends, family and complete strangers, I've raised £1,331 to provide potentially life saving medical aid for people around the world who need it most.

"And the total is still rising.

“To all those who donated, you have given me new found faith in the goodness of individual people.”

Médecins Sans Frontières works in more than 70 countries, primarily in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics.

It is independent, neutral and impartial and provides medical care where it's needed most.
