Taking place at The Crown Hotel from 5.30-8pm, the event will feature high-level analysis from Paul Mount, Deputy Agent for Yorkshire and the Humber at the Bank of England, alongside practical commercial advice from John Garbutt, Director at DSC Accountants.

The group said the briefing comes at a vital moment for the regional economy, following the recent delivery of the government's Autumn Budget.

Business leaders across the district are assessing how fiscal adjustments, tax threshold freezes and broader cost pressures will affect operations, investment decisions and employment into the new year.

Commenting on the upcoming briefing, Phill Holdsworth, President of Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce, said: "Following any major fiscal announcement, national headlines can feel overwhelming and often disconnected from the day-to-day realities of running a business.

"What our members need right now is clarity, certainty and a sensible long-term perspective.

"Having the Bank of England join us alongside DSC Accountants gives our local business community an exceptional opportunity to look beyond the political noise, understand the trajectory of the wider economy, and plan for the year ahead with confidence."

Paul Mount will outline the Bank of England’s central role in maintaining economic stability, examining the key factors shaping recent policy choices and detailing the Bank’s forward strategies.

He will also share the Bank's outlook on the future trajectory of UK inflation, national growth rates, and labour market conditions, providing those attending with authoritative context on the wider macroeconomic environment.

The meeting will also provide an open forum for attendees to put questions directly to the speakers, allowing local business owners to voice sector-specific challenges and discuss strategies for building organisational resilience.

The event begins with informal networking and refreshments at 5.30pm, followed by the main speaker presentations and an audience Q&A session.

Attendance is open to Chamber members and first-time visitors looking to connect with the local business network. Advance booking is required through the Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce website at www.harrogatechamber.co.uk/events.
