Harrogate restaurant targeted in early-morning raid as chairs worth hundreds of pounds stolen
A restaurant in Harrogate is appealing for information and witnesses after eight chairs worth hundreds of pounds were taken from its premises.
In a post on Facebook, William & Victoria said that at around 4.03am on Wednesday, September 9, a car pulled up opposite the restaurant on Cold Bath Road, facing towards the Crown roundabout.
The suspect headed straight to the rear of the restaurant and left with eight Italian Nardi chairs worth £680.
David Straker, owner of William & Victoria, said: “It was clearly a targeted theft - he arrived by car, knew where he was going and was on a mission.

“Our footage unfortunately doesn’t give us a clear view of the vehicle, but it appears to be black or dark coloured.”
The restaurant has confirmed that it will now be locking up all of their chairs and tables every night, along with their early-morning deliveries.
This comes after David hid an Apple AirTag inside a wheel of Brie to track down thieves who were stealing his early-morning dairy deliveries.
A spokesperson at North Yorkshire Police said: “Anyone in the area who witnessed the incident, or local businesses or residents who may have captured the suspect on camera through CCTV, doorbell footage or passing motorists with dashcam, is asked to contact us.”
