Public invited to Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust's annual meeting to help shape future of local healthcare

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is inviting staff, patients, residents and partner organisations to its Annual Members' Meeting this month to discuss the future of healthcare across the region.

The event will take place on Monday, September 21, at The Pavilions of Harrogate, with registration opening at 4.30pm ahead of the formal meeting, which runs from 5pm until 7pm.

This year's meeting is themed "10 Year Plan" and will highlight how the Trust is improving patient care, developing services and supporting communities across Harrogate, North Yorkshire and beyond.

Guests will hear about some of the Trust’s key achievements from 2025/26, as well as the difference these improvements have made for patients, service users and local communities.

Attendees will also hear about the challenges and opportunities facing local healthcare services, the Trust's priorities for the year ahead and the work taking place to ensure patients continue to receive safe, compassionate and high-quality care.

Visitors will also be able to visit information stands showcasing services from across the Trust and speak directly with the teams delivering care.

The evening will give attendees the chance to meet Governors, Directors and staff from across the organisation, while also learning more about Foundation Trust membership and how local people can help influence healthcare services in their communities.

Sarah Armstrong, Chair of Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, said: "Our Annual Members' Meeting is one of the most important events in our calendar because it gives us the opportunity to share openly with our communities how the Trust is performing, celebrate the achievements of our colleagues, look ahead to the future and listen to the views of the people we serve.

“We are incredibly proud of what our teams have achieved in delivering safe, compassionate and high-quality care, often in challenging circumstances.

"We want as many people as possible to join us, whether you are a member of staff, patient, volunteer, Foundation Trust member, partner organisation or local resident.

“Your questions, feedback and ideas help shape our services, and we look forward to welcoming you for an evening of discussion and conversation about the future of healthcare in our communities."

The meeting will be recorded and made available to watch on the Trust's website shortly after the event.
