Harrogate choir The Stray Notes raises thousands for Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Harrogate choir, The Stray Notes, has raised more than £4,000 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance at a series of concerts in and around Harrogate.

Donations were collected at performances in St Mark’s Church and Valley Gardens in Harrogate; as well as at Knaresborough Castle; Fountains Abbey; Newby Hall and the Himalayan Gardens and Sculpture Park; both near Ripon.
A cheque for £4,145 was presented to Clare Deacon, regional fundraiser for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, at a choir rehearsal.

Clare said: “Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a charity that relies on donations to keep the helicopters flying and saving lives. We attend, on average, 4-5 incidents each day, 365 days a year.
“Thank you to The Stray Notes choir for arranging such a wonderful year of events. Not only have they raised funds but have raised awareness of the charity too.”
The choir’s charity coordinator, Heather Jones, said: “Each year we choose a local charity to support, and our audiences are always so generous through donations or raffles at our concerts.
"We are absolutely delighted with the amount raised this year to support the vital work of Yorkshire Air Ambulance.”
