The Rock Goes To The Movies evening with BAFTA-winning Tony Palmer was meant to take place at RedHouse Originals art gallery as part of Harrogate Film Festival featuring a film screening plus a Q&A about his work with The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Leonard Cohen, Rory Gallagher, Cream, Frank Zappa, The Who, Donovan and many more.

But all the original tickets have sold out so quickly, a bigger venue has had to be found.

Palmer, who has made a 100 films and won countless BAFTA and Emmy awards, will now appear at The Clubhouse at Cold Bath Brewing Co on Thursday, March 12.

Extra tickets have now been put on sale for the bigger venue and are available via the event's box office at Harrogate Theatre.

But all existing tickets are still valid for the new venue on Kings Road, which is just five minutes walk from RedHouse Originals gallery.

Harrogate Film Festival founder Adam Chandler said: "Tony Palmer's glittering career deserves such an event as we can't wait to welcome him.

"We're delighted this filmmaking legend is so popular and are grateful to our venue partners Cold Bath Brewing Co and RedHouse Originals for enabling this exciting event to happen"

The Rock goes to the Movies event is presented by Graham Chalmers of the Harrogate Advertiser and Charm events in conjunction with Harrogate Film Society.

Graham Chalmers said: "Palmer is the greatest arts documentary filmmaker Britain has produced in the last 50 years and personally knew most of the greatest figures in the classical music world, as well as rock music.

"The fact he is making the journey to Harrogate as a stand-alone event shows how highly regarded Harrogate Film Festival nationally and shows that Harrogate, despite appearances, is a town with a genuine rock n roll pedigree."

The gallery will be hanging classic 60s artwork and photography at the venue and will curating the music playlist for the event's after-show party.

The Harrogate Film Festival event is being supported by The White Hart in Harrogate, a four-star hotel in the centre of the stylish Montpellier Quarter boasting more than 90 modern bedrooms and a restaurant with two AA Rosettes five minutes’ walk from the Valley Gardens, Bettys Tea Room and Harrogate Convention Centre.
