Reader picture: The lonely swan of Glasshouses
The lonely swan pictured here has spent the winter on Glasshouses pond.
Reader William Thomas, who took the photo on Saturday, said: “It arrived last year with a partner, but the partner apparently died.
“Now it only has ducks for company, and they keep their distance.
“Our swan needs a new companion.”
Williams said the white spots are reflections of that night’s waxing moon.
