Spanning almost 80 years, from the 1947/48 season through to the current 2025/26 campaign, the collection offers a fascinating insight into the club’s journey through some of its most memorable eras.

The memorabilia will be sold as part of a Collectors’ Sale at Morphets of Harrogate on Thursday, November 5, with bidding available both in the saleroom and live online from 11am.

Among the highlights are two letters from legendary Leeds United manager Don Revie, including one personally signed just weeks after his appointment at Elland Road in March 1961.

The letters were written in response to a schoolboy supporter’s enquiry about attending trials, providing a rare glimpse into Revie’s early days in charge and the close connection between the club and its young fans.

The auction will feature around 1,500 Leeds United match programmes, covering league, cup and European fixtures from 1960/61 to 2025/26, with a handful of earlier programmes from the 1940s and 1950s also included.

For supporters of the club’s famous Revie era, there will be the opportunity to bid on testimonial brochures celebrating some of Leeds’ greatest names, including Jack Charlton, Billy Bremner, Norman Hunter, Peter Lorimer and Paul Madeley.

The collection also includes around 75 matchday ticket stubs, with historic fixtures such as the 1965 FA Cup Final against Liverpool, FA Cup and League Cup semi-finals and finals, along with UEFA and Champions League matches among the lots.

A selection of more than 40 season ticket passbooks and cards dating back to 1972/73 will also go under the hammer, alongside books, booklets, VHS tapes and DVDs featuring matches and football compilations.

Other items include a 45rpm record, lapel pin badges and a large wood-framed mirror featuring engraved images of players from the David O’Leary Champions League years.

The sale is not limited to Leeds United memorabilia, with around 150 football items from the 1950s and 1960s also included.

These include domestic cup, international and British club programmes from across the game.

One of the more unusual lots is a photograph from Soccer Star Magazine dated August 18, 1967, featuring the Wolverhampton Wanderers team and management and signed by around a dozen players.

The collection offers supporters a chance to own a unique piece of Leeds United history, with items charting some of the club’s most significant moments both on and off the pitch.

The auction will take place at Morphets of Harrogate, 6 Albert Street, on Thursday, November 5, starting at 11am, with collectors also able to bid live online.
