These are the new rules you will have to follow as pubs and restaurants reopen

It's an exciting weekend for many as some lockdown restrictions are lifted and pubs, bars and restaurants can open their doors again.

But social distancing rules and increased safety guidelines are still in place, meaning your first pint in a months could look a little different.

Here are all the rules you will have to follow when heading to a pub or a restaurant.

1. Pubs

Limits to the number of people allowed into pubs with markings on the floor to ensure social distancing. Booking tables may even be necessary.

Drinks delivered to spaced-apart tables.

Customers encouraged to order drinks on smart phone apps, as opposed to queuing at the bar.

Empty glasses will be collected from tables and pub staff will clean bar tops, door handles and fruit machines hourly.
