Where else could you find the stunning sights of our very own Harrogate? And film producers have clearly thought like-wise with a string of movies and TV shows filmed on location in our own spa town and its surrounding countryside.
Eagle-eyed viewers will have no doubt spotted the viaduct at Bilton Woods in Paddington 2, and maybe the use of Crescent Gardens as a Parisian street cafe in the brilliant Chariots of Fire? While Brimham Rocks has played a starring role in such titles as Jane Eyre (1996), Wuthering Heights (1970), The Hound of the Baskervilles (1988) and Ivanhoe (1997).
Allerton Castle in Knaresborough doubled up as the German home of Prince Albert in ITVs Victoria, while Ripley Castle, Bramham Park and nearby Harewood House have also proven popular venues. Slightly further afield, the 2017 TV blockbuster Gun Powder, starring Kit Harrington, was filmed at Fountains Abbey in Ripon.

So steeped in screen heritage is Bradford that it was the first to be designated a Unesco Creative City of film more than 10 years ago.
Both Room at the Top (1959) and Billy Liar (1962) were filmed in the city centre.
In recent years City Hall has doubled for other locations in Keira Knightley film Official Secrets, the ABC Murders and Peaky Blinders - meaning it has hosted stars such as Oscar-winner Adrian Brody.
