Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire has begun construction on its upcoming Boroughbridge development, Bondgate, also launching a temporary sales centre for customers to book appointments to discuss the homes on offer.

The homebuilder received full planning approval in May 2020 for the housing development in Langthorpe, and work has started on 63 homes for the area, 40 per cent of which are allocated for affordable housing.

Steven Ball, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: “We’re very pleased to get construction underway and to open our temporary sales centre at Bondgate.

“We want to build a thriving community.”

Just a short drive from Boroughbridge town centre, Bondgate will feature a mixture of three and four-bedroom homes with associated parking and landscaping.

The development will also include public open space along the southern boundary with the majority of existing trees and hedges to be retained.

As part of its planning permission, Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire will provide about £50,000 towards open space, £25,000 towards cycling and pedestrian improvements and about £100,000 to the village hall.
