The Harrogate arts charity is giving book fans the chance to watch international best-selling author Patricia Cornwell chat to Alex Clark about her pulse-pounding thriller, Spin, featuring her brilliant and unusual new heroine, Captain Calli Chase.

Taking place online on Thursday, January 14 at 7.30pm, the online book launch event is free to enjoy by visiting the Harrogate International Festivals website.

One of the world’s best-loved authors, with more than 120 million copies of her books in print, for this one-off event Cornwell will be talking about how she learned to spacewalk as part of her research for her new Captain Chase series.

The brilliant writer travelled all over the US visiting NASA facilities and gained insider access to one of the world’s most secret and impregnable institutions.

A crime writing legend, she is best known for her best-selling novels featuring Kay Scarpetta.
