Members of Pateley Bridge Dramatic Society are gearing up for their next production at The Playhouse.
Alan Ayckbourn’s classic comedy “How The Other Half Loves” is set to open on Tuesday, November 20, and tickets are already on sale.
They play is a farce with a difference as it is set in two living rooms in two separate houses which overlap on stage, allowing the audience to see and hear what’s happening in different places at different points in time, which makes it a difficult play to stage.
“We like a challenge at the Playhouse!” said director Peter Buller, “ and I’m a big fan of Ayckbourn’s work: his plays always sit well on our unique stage – and needless to say, both the stellar cast and the resourceful backstage staff have responded enthusiastically to the demands of the production.”
How The Other Half Loves will be staged in the Playhouse from Tuesday, November 20 – Saturday, November 24 at 7.30pm, with a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm.
Tickets – priced £8 – are on sale at the Playhouse, or by ringing 0781 696 1854 between 2pm and 6pm Mondays to Saturdays.
