Exciting punk rock and garage rock is coming to Harrogate again courtesy of those good folks in North Yorkshire Hardcore, the long-running local promoters who quietly ruffle the town's traditional feathers with sudden burst of energy and noise.

And it isn't just Harrogate bands which will be appearing next Friday, July 13 at Retro bar on Commercial Street.

There's blistering blues-influenced garage rock from Hell Fire Jack, the sensational Harrogate duo who released their debut album, Chain to great acclaim earlier in the year.

There's desert punk rock from The 7ups.

From further afield, also on the bill are Small Gods, beach surf-punks from Basingstoke, famous for their Transparent Snot Green Cassette - which is exactly how it sounds!

Not to forget Blue Jinns, an eight-legged riff machine from Leeds.

Harrogate's loudest band record debut album

NYHC are also responsible for a great-sounding night at Santiago’s in Leeds on Saturday, July 14.

The line-up features:

Normal Man - Brutal art rockers, smashing all your hopes and dreams while you stand by and watch.

Small Gods - Melodic, catchy surf punk, waxing their boards and ripping the tides.

Blue Jinns - 8 legged riff n'roll machine, making misery fun again.

The 7ups - Desert punx riffing out to make cash. On a mission to rehydrate themselves using only booze made from the blood of coyotes.

£4 entry, 7pm start.
