THE band are tuning up for the upcoming Music Hall extravaganza by Harrogate St Andrews Players.

For the spectacular one off show at Harrogate’s Royal Hall on May 12 the band will be led by the successful conductor Craig Ratcliffe.

Craig is delighted to be working with HSAP and supporting their recovery fund. The musical director of the Harrogate Band and artistic director of the Harrogate Youth brings a wealth of experience to what is shaping up to be a special evening of traditional entertainment.

Craig who is a teacher of music and music technology at St John Fisher School has previously worked on an outdoor performance of Wind In The Willows with the Harrogate Youth Theatre, as well as Harrogate Dramatic Society’s production of Dad’s Army.

Craig will be conducting Nigel Beetles (piano), Alasdair Simpson (bass guitar), Ed Dennis (drums), David Smith (trumpet) and Gavin Walters (tenor sax).

The band and cast will be wowing a fancy-dress wearing audience with a variety of songs from many eras over the past 100 or so years like Any Old Iron, Don’t Dilly Dally on the Way, White Cliffs of Dover and many more.

Jennifer Cowling, chairman of HSAP said: “The cast and I couldn’t be happier to be performing alongside such a talented band and conductor. Together we will put on a performance that will really capture the magic of Music Hall.”
