The second Sow It, Grow It, Cook It, Eat It event is taking place in Boroughbridge next month.
It will be held on the shared space off Back Lane car park on Saturday, October 8.
Among those holding stalls will be branches of the Women’s Institute (WI), Boroughbridge Allotment Society, Boroughbridge High School, Boroughbridge Lions, and Yore Vision.
There will be all sorts of exciting activities, including tasting different recipes made by the WI members.
The event is being combined with a Green Neighbourhood Challenge event and rubbish collection lorries from North Yorkshire County Council will be there with a display to show what waste can be collected and recycled.
Officers are also bringing extra collection bags so visitors can take along cardboard and plastic for recycling plus any other unwanted items.
A competition is also being held to tie-in with the event.
The challenge is to make a ‘litter bug’ out of things you would have normally thrown away and bring the entry along on the day.
People whose litter bugs are incomplete can finish them off at the shared space on the day as organisers will make extra materials available.
