Ripon Arts Hub to host 'cross between The Pogues and Bruce Springsteen’s Seeger Session Band' in RML gig

For the last gig of the current season, Ripon Live is presents the terrific The Jon Palmer Acoustic Band at Ripon Arts Hub.

Hide AdAn uplifting night of folk, roots, and rock n roll, the event will take place on Saturday, November 18 at 7pm at the venue which is located on Allhallowgate next door to the One-Eyed Rat pub.
Describing the band as “a cross between The Pogues and Bruce Springsteen’s Seeger Session Band with a bit of Waterboys and Saw Doctors thrown in for good measure”, Leeds Music Scene hailed The Jon Palmer Acoustic Band as “spellbinding live”.
A former winner of the Grolsch UK Songwriter of the Year and a published songwriter with Sony, Jon will be accompanied at the Ripon show by an amazingly accomplished five piece band.

Hide AdThe line-up includes Wendy Ross (violin), Eddy Green (bass), Iain Cunningham (keys), Adam Hopkins (percussion) and Lee Wellbrook (mandolin).
Fatea Magazine described the band as delivering “folk-rock at it's finest, with insightful song-writing and top-class musicianship”.
Meanwhile, R2 Magazine said: “We never tire of this band”.
