Above the Clouds, which is launched with a private view tomorrow night, Friday, has a truly stellar line-up.As the title of this new group exhibition suggests, (it’s a Paul Weller track off his first album), it’s got the gallery’s usual rock n roll feel. The collection will feature original work direct from the studios of Schoph, John Middleton, David Rusbatch, Florence Blanchard, Rourke Van Dal, Pete McKee, Thomas James Butler and Gareth Griffiths.Plus there will be modern prints and rare editions by Banksy, Peter Blake, Horace Panter, Mal - One, Emma Talbot, Terry Frost, John Piper and John Hoyland.Among the modern icons popping up in this wonderfully varied show will be The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, Morecambe and Wise, and Paul Weller.Run by Richard McTague and Jon Kendall, RedHouse Originals has welcomed visits in person in the past from the likes of Peter Blake and the late Howard Marks to its gallery on Cheltenham Mount.Above the Clouds opens to the public this Saturday, October 5 and runs until December 3.
