Chris Taylor, who lives in Harrogate, was an integral part of melodic indie-punk band Education who headlined several ‘Charm’ nights in the town from 2006-2008.Influenced by punk and New Wave with cutting, socially-aware lyrics, Taylor (lead vocals) and bandmates Oliver Jones (bass), Oliver Smith (guitar) and Jim Beadle (drums) even had one of their Smiths meets Ramones-like singles, Cool As You, played on BBC Radio One.Now Chris says he’s keen to start again. “I still write vocal melodies and lyrics with an undercurrent of punk attitude. I’m looking to form a band with that classic line-up - drums, guitar, bass, singer - although I’m open to variation.”His influences include The Libertines, David Bowie and Elvis. His music is on Soundcloud via user-761616299.Anyone interested should contact him at [email protected]
