Taking place on Wednesday, May 20, the album in focus will be the vinyl version of Supertramp's multi-million selling global smash Breakfast in America.

Breakfast in America is the sixth studio album by English rock band Supertramp and was originally released on March 29, 1979.

Smooth, well-produced and meticulously written, as typified classic Supertramp, the album was recorded in 1978 at The Village Recorder in Los Angeles.

Sometimes described as the epitome of "yacht rock", Breakfast in America spawned four US Billboard hit singles at the time: The Logical Song (No. 6), Goodbye Stranger (No. 15), Take the Long Way Home (No. 10) and title track Breakfast in America (No. 62).

In the UK, The Logical Song and the title track were both top 10 hits, the only two the group had in their native country, asides from Dreamer which peaked at number 13 on the UK singles chart in 1975.

Organiser Colin Paine said: "The fun starts at 7.30pm with myself as DJ then we have a full profile from our “Professor of Pop” Graham Chalmers of the Harrogate Advertiser long with some video action from Jim Dobbs during playback of the album in full about 8.00pmish.

"Between sides we have a quick trip to Mike’s audio den!

"Then stream via our HQ Nidd server for you to enjoy. We run our dual platform audio stream and Zoom for the event.

Colin Paine also outlined to the Harrogate Advertiser ambitious plans for an expansion of his 'pirate radio' station this weekend.
