From Harrogate to New York Brit play festival

The new play Invincible is off to Broadway after a stint in Harrogate.

Torben Betts’ culture clash drama is at Harrogate Theatre next month.

The play, presented by the Original Theatre Company, is at Harrogate and other dates in the UK until April. It will be performed at the 13th annual Brits Off Broadway festival in New York from June 1 to July 2.

Brits Off Broadway is produced by 59E59 Theaters and aims to introduce new artists and new British theatre to New York audiences.

It has staged many of Scarborough playwright Alan Ayckbourn’s productions.

Artistic director of the Original Theatre Company, Alastair Whatley, said “I am delighted that after 13 years touring the UK, we have been invited to spread our wings and cross the Atlantic.”

Invincible is at Harrogate Theatre from Wednesday March 15 until Saturday March 18, daily at 7.30pm plus Saturday at 2.30pm.
