Based for a long time in Knaresborough since its pioneering days in the 1990s, a sign of the family firm’s confidence can be seen by an event it’s organised this weekend for not only lovers of cask, keg and can but music lovers, too.

The Tallboy Launch Party will take place at Rooster’s tap room this Saturday, November 30.

The expansive and impressive venue will be serving up live music, a DJ set and street food.

The occasion is the release of new beers Sawtooth (Mountain-Style IPA), Tropical Assassin (a fruited version of Baby-Faced Assassin) and Double Assassin (100% Citra DIPA).

With the Fozard family – father Ian and sons, Tom and Ol - such big music fans in their daily lives, it’s no surprise they’ve thrown high quality music into the mix for the event.

The music programme will begin from 3pm to 5pm with a live acoustic performance by Harrogate musician Jake Pattinson.

From 6pm to 9pm there will be a DJ set from Trainer Trouble, the renowned team of DJs from Bradford who will play a funk and soul set, though they have also been known to throw in bits of hip hop, reggae jams and bumpin bass’n’breaks.

The new Roosters purpose-built brewery and taproom in Hornbeam Park opened in May and is a short walk from Hornbeam Park railway station.
