Harrogate RUFC director of rugby Mike Aspinall has challenged his side to pile on the points on Saturday.

Gate welcome bottom National Two North side Dudley Kingswinford to Claro Road (2pm).

The Birmingham-side have lost all 21 of their league encounters this season, and Harrogate thrashed them 47-22 away in October.

After 20 games, eighth-placed Harrogate have a -13 points differential.

And the Claro Road supremo reckons Saturday’s match is the perfect chance for his side to rubberstamp their pre-season target of a positive return.

“We need to show a clinical instinct this weekend,” he said.

“This is an opportunity to tot up a decent scoreline. We need to be ruthless.”

Saturday’s home visit of Macclesfield was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch at Claro Road.

But Aspinall was confident the standing water would clear in time to entertain Dudley (kick-off 2pm).

The head coach also hopes Tom Harvey will finally make his long-awaited return to fitness.

However, long-term absentees Steve Maycock, Luke Edwards and Andy Boyde remain sidelined.

“Hopefully the lads will be fresher,” Aspinall added.
