Wetherby Bulldogs’ derby with Sherburn Bears was marred by a 26-man brawl which brought the game to an early end at the Ings on Saturday.
The Bears had been heading for a resounding 40-10 victory in the Pennine League Fifth Division contest before the referee called a halt to the clash in the 68th minute.
Daniel Johnson led the Bears’ scoring with two tries, and Ben Pugh, Sam Booth, Adam Wright, Rhys Hughes, Adam Withington were also on the scoresheet.
Bears scrum-half Martin Leahy added six conversions. Ray Boyes was Sherburn’s man of the match.
Next weekend the Bears travel to Wakefield City in a crucial top of the table clash.
