Harrogate sisters skate to success

Jasmin, 12, and Ruby, aged nine, attend Harrogate Grammar School and Highfield Prep School and have been skating for two years but are now ready to compete on the national stage.

They train at Bradford three times a week under coach Sarah Evans and at Ice Sheffield once a week under the watchful eye of Mark Hanretty of Dancing on Ice fame.

Having been part of Bradford’s synchronised ice skating team, earlier in the year, the sisters travelled to Hull for a national competition last weekend and finished fifth in their respective sections.
