Riall endured a difficult year during the 2014 calendar and finished last of nine drivers in the GTB category – and only scored points in seven races.

However, the 42-year-old said changes have been made to his car over the winter that would put him amongst the fastest on the grid.

And the Almera Racing team he races for is backed by former British Touring Car driver Tim Sugden.

Riall said: “I am going for it this year. Last year was not a great year and we stuttered over the finish line in a few races, and there were a few did not finishes.

“This year, I have got my head in the right place and we have a car that I believe will be one of the best in my classification.

“We have a realistic chance of winning the GTB class which would be amazing.”
