Wetherby Golf Club course professional Mark Daubney provides his latest golf tip, Is keeping your head down a good idea.
Mark says: “Put simply.. .no!
“I really don’t like this saying in golf although it does provide me with a lot of business as a coach.
“What usually happens when someone is told to keep their head down is they do just that: stick their chin on their chest and don’t let their head come up after impact, how can you swing?
“I tell people to keep their eye on the ball until it’s gone and then follow it, just like you would in tennis. Much more natural, less restrictive and won’t give you a pain in the neck, literally and metaphorically!”
