The win is their fourth in succession and ensures that Rachel Till’s side, unbeaten in seven matches, finish a fine campaign fourth in the North Division One standings.

Despite ‘Gate having the majority of possession during the opening 10 minutes of the game it was Brooklands who took the lead with a breakaway goal, however Freya Wilde levelled the scores after being teed up by Ashley Farrar.

Youngster Farrar then moved her team ahead, taking the ball round the hosts’ keeper before slotting home.

Evelyn Wright made it 3-1 at half-time, following up on a rebound off home custodian’s pads and powering the ball in to the bottom corner.

Brooklands came back at ‘Gate in the second period and trimmed the gap, but with five minutes remaining, Lucy Wood netted the visitors’ fourth goal from Wilde’s cross to round things off.

Tilly Hall was named as Harrogate’s player of the match following a fine display.
