VIDEO: Shock Salford City win ‘right up there’ for Harrogate Railway boss Billy Miller

Delighted Harrogate Railway boss Billy Miller hailed hat-trick hero Nathan Cartman as one of the best strikers in the Evo-Stik leagues following Saturday’s shock 4-1 win at Salford.

Cartman produced a performance to savour against the side recently taken over by the Class of 92 former Manchester United stars Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and the Neville brothers Phil and Gary.

The striker has now scored 20 goals this season, and Miller said the club are reaping the rewards from his fine form in establishing themselves as a “good” First Division North club.

On Cartman, Miller said: “Sometimes people look at him and think, no it can’t be him because of his size.

“But he’s got the strength of an ox. He’s really good at holding the ball up for us and he gets the goals around the box.

“He’s a credit to himself. It makes him a pleasure to work with.”

The boss also praises his squad’s togetherness, and how the match was always going to be “win-win” for his Salford born and bred family.
