Boss Weaver is however refusing to be drawn on the matter.

"I can't comment until any deal may or may not be completed," he told the Harrogate Advertiser.

Taylor, who came through the youth ranks at Stoke City, was named in the National League North Team of the Year for 2019/20 following a stellar first year with Chester.

He signed an extended deal with the Blues in February, but Swansway bosses Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley have previously stated that they won't stand in the way of their players if they are presented with the opportunity to move up the footballing pyramid.
