Simon Weaver's players were impressive from start to finish. Here's how they rated out of 10... PICTURES: MATT KIRKHAM.
James Belshaw 6/10. Largelyuntroubled due to another solid defensive performance by the men in front of him. Three clean-sheets in his last four matches now. Ryan Fallowfield 8. Defended soundlyone-on-one and, as always, got up and down the right flank to good effect. Has developed into atop-qualityright-back. Callum Howe 8. Very, very assured. Won his battles and communicated well. Also caused problems in the Braintree box. Kelvin Langmead 7. Has barely put a foot wrong since his return to the side. Looked extremely comfortable throughout. Warren Burrell 7. Solid. It's a testament to his ability as a footballer that he cruises through game after game despite playing out of position at left-back. Jack Emmett 7. Set Town on their way with a crucial early goal and made some positiveruns with the ball at his feet. Replaced at half-time. Lloyd Kerry 7. A performance fullofendeavour. Pressed hard and used the ball well. Was head and shoulders above his opposite numbers in the engine room. Josh Falkingham 8. Bossed the midfield. Won plenty of tackles and showcased his fine range of passing. Hosts couldn't live with him in the first half. George Thomson 8. A really lively display down the left wing capped by an emphatic strike which ended the game as a contest. Mark Beck 9. ADVERTISER STAR MAN. The finish thatput Town 2-0 up oozed class. Dominated the home centre-halves, winning numerous headers. Jack Muldoon 8. His finishing may have been uncharacteristicallypoor, but he caused Braintree so many problems. Had a hand in three of the goals and provided two assists. Liam Agnew 6. (On for Emmett, 46). Aaron Williams 6. (On for Muldoon, 67). Michael Woods 6. (On for Beck, 75).
