Parkes has cut a frustrated figure at Station View after falling down the pecking order since the arrivals of loanee Matty Lovegreen and Luca Mellor.

He has made 20 appearances at right-back for Railway this season but was an unused sub in the 2-2 draw at Witton Albion on Monday night.

Parkes, who is also a keen golfer at Pannal Golf Club, missed the majority of last season after suffering knee ligament damage,

He becomes the third player to swap Station View for Manse Lane this season, following Fatlum Ibrahimi and Mike Morris.

The defender will also reunite with brother Ben at Knaresborough. However, he remain registered at Railway and boss Lee Ashforth said he could still feature in the club's Evo-Stik survival bid.

Rail' boss Lee Ashforth said: "Since his suspension his chances have been limited and I want him ready for our run in.
