Ibrahimi chose to leave boyhood Railway on New Year's Day after falling out of love with football.

He had struggled to nail down a starting place under Lee Ashforth after returning late for pre-season training from his homeland Kosovo.

Knaresborough approached the midfielder in January and boss Paul Stansfield said he would be an ideal fit into the club's philosophy of bringing through local players.

Ibrahimi, who came through the junior ranks at Station View, has played alongside several members of the Knaresborough squad at Claro Sunday League team Sherwood.

He could make his debut for the Manse Lane club in Saturday's home clash against Grimsby Borough.

Knaresborough also face Selby Town in a North Yorkshire derby at Manse Lane on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).
