Nick Radcliffe headed wide from Graham Whitehead’s early corner kick, but soon made amends when he hit home the opener in the 15th minute after another Whitehead corner was not cleared.

Matt Duerden headed over from a Mitch Hamilton centre and Liam Gray was narrowly wide after Radcliffe had another shot blocked.

Lincoln’s Kallum Omelia fired just wide in a rare attack before Knaresborough went 2-0 up in the 33rd minute.

Byron Littlefair was unlucky when his curling free kick came back of the inside of the upright but Hamilton reacted quickest to volley home.

Littlefair was ruled offside soon afterwards when he shot home after Jim Bradley crossed back in following an over-hit Ben Parkes centre from the right.

Hamilton saw his shot saved by Chris Stanley just after the break and then Whitehead was over with his effort.

Hamilton’s next attempt came back off the inside of the post only to strike Brad Walker before he could react.

Walker next had a header saved before slamming a shot against the crossbar and seeing the rebound headed wide by Hamilton.

A long ball was then chased by Whitehead who evaded the goalkeeper before squaring for Walker to notch a deserved goal in the 65th minute.

Fraser Lancaster replaced Walker after the goal and soon fired over before Liam Gray’s shot was saved.

Fabian Rowe was wide for Lincoln, but the 4th ‘Boro’ goal arrived in the 79th minute when Hamilton converted after good work from Ben Parkes down the right.

Whitehead and Lancaster were again off the target before Hamilton hit his hat trick goal in the 89th minute after a run into the penalty area.

On Saturday, Knaresborough travel to league newcomers, AFC Mansfield (Kick off 3.00 p.m.).
